Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
This wine's fruit comes from Lee Martinelli's Charles Vineyard
located on the third coastal ridge from the Pacific Ocean, near the
town of Seaview. It is bursting with aromas of
citrus blossom and green apple, underscored with delicious
mineral notes. On the palate, the wine exhibits tension between its
bright acidiy and cool-climate structure, all beautifully framed
with flavors of Jonathan apple and honeydew melon. The wine is
delightfully elegant upon release, and will continue to gain
complexity with bottle age for there to five years. This one has
become a favorite of many local winemakers.
