
Blogs are a great way to communicate to you all manner of things occurring at the winery or in wine country. At any time Mike Sullivan or Bob Mosby might be inspired to write about some thought or current happening. Proprietors, Joe Anderson and Mary Dewane might also be so inspired to write from time to time. We most likely will write about wine making, wine drinking, thoughts about wine, restaurant reviews, wine tastings or just living in wine country but nothing is out of bounds.
2007 Harvest Reflection

October 19th, 2007 - Having finished cleaning the press as the first rains of winter begin to fall, it seems like a good time to reflect back on the 2007 harvest.
It has been a strange and beautiful harvest filled with both excitement and trepidation. I cannot think of a comparable vintage after 16 harvests. The season began with less than average rainfall and the vines got a fast start as the soils dried (Read more...)
Excitement In The Air

It’s here. That unmistakable, almost frenetic feeling that slowly begins to build as crush approaches. First, I see one or two trucks with picking bins driving along the small, two lane roads of Sonoma’s west county. I look closely and they are empty.
